MASS completes technical upgrade to be officially compatible with chia file format

The MASS network is compatible with the Chia file format for parallel mining. the MASS community has completed the development and testing of this technical upgrade and will soon publish and launch a test network to verify the feasibility and security of this upgrade.

MASS, as the earliest promoter of PoC consensus, has been operating the main network stably for 22 months, verifying the feasibility of PoC consensus as a basic protocol for blockchain. the MASS community has been committed to promoting and developing proof-of-capacity protocols, building a common consensus engine through the PoC mechanism, and providing consensus services for multiple public chains at the same time. Since the MASS mainnet went online on September 1, 2019, the MASS miner network has continued to grow and the mainnet is working well, which validates the feasibility of the proof-of-capacity protocol as a blockchain consensus protocol.

Many of the designs of MASS have provided design inspiration for the Chia network, and Bram Cohen has joined in the promotion of the proof-of-capacity consensus mechanism.

The MASS community has also been open and inclusive in welcoming a variety of partners to develop the proof-of-capacity consensus mechanism together. We are pleased to see that Bram Cohen’s team has proposed and developed the Chia project and has made the proof-of-capacity protocol visible to a wider audience with its strong influence. We are also pleased to see that many of MASS’s designs have inspired the Chia network, which after 3 months of development now has 20,000 petabytes of hard drives to mine, a world-beating achievement.

The MASS network is compatible with the Chia file format for parallel mining.

We are very pleased to welcome miners from the chia network to join the maintenance of the MASS proof-of-capacity consensus engine and build the blockchain consensus layer infrastructure together. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that the MASS network is compatible with the Chia file format for parallel mining.

The MASS community has completed the development and related testing of this technical upgrade and will release the test network in the near future.

The MASS community has completed the development and related testing of this technical upgrade, and will announce and launch a test network in the near future to verify the feasibility and security of this upgrade. After the completion of the test network, the technical upgrade of MASS main network will be carried out in the form of hard fork. In order to promote and develop the MASS consensus engine, the community will also adjust the economic mechanism of the MASS mainnet to accommodate this upgrade. The principle of adjusting the economic mechanism is to keep the total amount of MASS unchanged and give miners sufficient incentives to support the upgrade of the whole network.

As the earliest promoter of the proof-of-capacity protocol, the MASS community has been paying attention to and following up on the frontier technology of blockchain, and is committed to making the MASS consensus engine the infrastructure of the blockchain consensus layer.
