An email shared internally as part of Epic Games’ legal dispute with Apple shows that a meeting agenda for Apple’s executive team was written by Steve Jobs since August 2007, two months after the release of the first-generation Apple phone. The document lists a number of Apple products that were never released.
Mentioned on the agenda was a 15-inch MacBook Air model planned for 2008. officially unveiled in 2008, the MacBook Air was a 13-inch model, and in 2010 the company introduced an 11-inch model. the 15-inch screen size was later reserved only for the MacBook Pro and never appeared on the MacBook The 15-inch screen size was later reserved for the MacBook Pro and never appeared on the MacBook Air, but now there’s solid evidence that the company was seriously considering a larger MacBook Air.
The document also mentions a Mac tablet computer. This device may have been a pre-concept for the iPad that was introduced in 2010, but it’s worth noting that the company started out with a tablet form factor specifically in mind for the Mac.
The agenda also mentions an iPod “Super nano” priced at $199, which appears to be coming in 2008. Finally, the email mentions a “new iPod shuffle” for 2008, but it appears that this product was never released. The second generation iPod Shuffle was introduced in 2006 and the third generation iPod Shuffle was introduced in 2009.
