Zhou Lidong: rigorous scholarship, under the guidance of the Turing Award winner

In Fudan University after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Zhou Dong went to the United States Cornell University to pursue a PhD Seoul.

After graduating from his PhD in 2002, he joined the Microsoft Research Institute in the United States and started working as a researcher at the Microsoft Silicon Valley Research Institute, the chief researcher of the Microsoft Research Asia and the system research group of the Microsoft Redmond Research Institute.

Zhou Lidong once said that he was very lucky to start his career here.

“Microsoft Research is full of yearning for many computer graduates, because here you not only have access to the most cutting-edge advanced technology, but you can also work with top scholars in the global computer field.”

Soon after joining Microsoft Research, Zhou Lidong was fortunate to work with pioneers who have done groundbreaking and groundbreaking work in the computer field, especially in the field of distributed systems .

The “distributed system” can be said to be the main supporting technology behind the Internet, search engines, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence that have led the technological revolution in the past 10 years.
