What are Han’s robots doing? In a word, it is to use robotics to serve people . Han is currently in the world there will be nearly 400-person team, of which more than half are engineers, and members from more than 20 countries . We have set up dual headquarters in China and Germany, mainly producing in Shenzhen, but we will build a production base with an annual production capacity of about 15,000 units in Foshan in the future.

Nowadays, there are many kinds of collaborative robots on the market. The more typical one is UR. There are several domestic robots, while the Han’s robots are somewhat differentiated. For example, six-axis collaborative robots have excellent performance in various performance aspects, such as intelligence , accuracy , and safety protection levels . These indicators are at a relatively high level in the industry.

But in the past two years, there have been many companies doing collaborative robots, and there are almost more than 130 companies in the world. Observing these robots, we will find a common feature: Compared with traditional industrial robots, they are only one step forward. This small step is to make the robots more usable and safer. But in fact, this is not the ultimate form of robots, and robots should develop in the direction of intelligence. Therefore, we believe that the combination of artificial intelligence technology can allow robots to perceive and interact with the environment, and allow everyone to use it very easily. So our philosophy is that robots can perceive the environment and interact with the environment. The most important thing is that it can be easily used and operated by more people. Therefore, the third-generation collaborative robot we developed-MAiRA , is a robot that combines artificial intelligence. Since its launch in Shanghai in March this year, we have won many international awards, such as the Red Dot Award, the 2021 European Product Design Award, and the German Innovation Award. As our third-generation robot, MAiRA has very high hard indicators, because as a seven-axis robotic arm, it has a very good indicator basis, including load capacity and arm span . Compared with the current collaborative robots on the market, it has made some improvements. . In terms of degrees of freedom, the third-generation robot is upgraded to seven degrees of freedom.

At the same time, we have developed some internal core components, including motors and encoders, which can achieve repeat positioning accuracy of 6 to 10 microns with a 1.4-meter arm span of the collaborative robot, which is the highest level in the industry so far . Reaching this level requires a lot of effort, including sensors, structures, real-time controllability, and model-based control.

In addition, the speed of MAiRA can reach 4.5 meters per second. We have also configured a lot of use interfaces, and even have 3 gas circuits in it. A 6-dimensional force sensor is also added to enable the force accuracy to reach 0.1 Newton .

Collaborative robots must be safe, so their speed will not be very high. So how do we solve security? At present, most of the collaborative robots on the market stop by touching a person to avoid harm to the operator. So we added sensors to allow the robot to understand the environment and perceive the movements of people within 3 meters. Just like self-driving cars, it can perceive the surrounding situation in advance, so this is a more advanced safety measure that can surpass the current collaborative robots.

In terms of operation, people do not need to be in direct contact. When there is no one, it can also move normally. When there are people, you can feel people, and it doesn’t require you to stop after you touch them. Even if you suddenly intervene, it can feel and make evasive actions.

What’s more interesting is that a very important factor that makes robots smart is vision. With robot vision, it can do many things. A basic function is that it can scan the surrounding environment, including operators, tables, tables, objects that can be grasped, etc., can be scanned. And in its system, a three-dimensional model is built to operate in a virtual environment.

We make an industrial robotic arm and let it be controlled by voice, that is, voice recognition . One of our demos in the first half of the year was basically able to understand semantics. We also integrated a six-dimensional tactile sensor, which allows the robot to operate very accurately.

In fact, collaborative robots can be used in many fields when combined with artificial intelligence. There are application scenarios in traditional industrial automation workshops, logistics industry, automobile production workshops, medical automation laboratories, machine tool processing workshops, and even medical treatment, surgery, and rehabilitation.
