CUDOS, the cross-chain decentralized computing network, announced on June 4 that tech unicorn Animoca Brands has joined the CUDOS ecosystem as a shareholder and cryptocurrency holder, and that both parties will work to accelerate the CUDOS network’s user growth and enrich the decentralized applications integrated on the platform.

Founded in 2014, Hong Kong-based sci-tech start-up Animoca Brands focuses on digital entertainment, blockchain gaming and NFT, and has newly closed a US$88,888,000 funding round with a number of gaming brands such as The Sandbox, Power Rangers, WWE, and a partnership with Dapper Labs (NBA Top Shot), Axie Infinity and OpenSea, and has been named by the Financial Times as one of the fastest growing companies in Asia Pacific in 2021.

As the latest global brand to join the CUDOS ecosystem, Animoca Brands will bring more developers and users to the CUDOS ecosystem and further strengthen CUDOS’ coverage in the blockchain gaming space. On one hand, the partnership will bridge the gap between gaming, blockchain, decentralized finance and NFT, bringing scalable and low cost Layer1 blockchain and Layer2 high performance computing services to leading blockchain gaming projects and NFT projects in the Animoca Brands ecosystem seeking a multi-chain strategy, among others. On the other hand, the combination of technology and services from both parties is also expected to benefit millions of gamers in the Animoca Brands and CUDOS ecosystems. CUDOS plans to release its main network within the year, and is capable of providing scalable high-performance computing and Layer-2 prophecy machine services for all bridged blockchains after bridging with mainstream blockchains such as Ether, Algorand, Poca and Cosmos.
