Crypto Asset Management Firm Valkyrie Investments Closes $10 Million Series A Funding Round

Valkyrie Investments, a crypto asset management company, has successfully raised $10 million in a Series A round of funding.

Crypto asset manager Valkyrie Investments closed a $10 million Series A round with participation from Precept Capital Management, 10X Capital, UTXO Management, Justin Sun, founder of Tron, and Charlie Lee, founder of Litecoin. Valkyrie CEO Leah Wald said the new funding will be used to expand its team, as well as build a presence in Asia and strengthen its product and distribution lines with more digital asset trust products and ETFs, as well as a number of specialized hedge fund strategies. currently has 14 employees and offers bitcoin and polka trusts. the Series A round brings Valkyrie’s total funding to date to $12.2 million, and Leah Wald says the company previously raised $1.1 million in a seed round and $1 million from XBTO in a strategic funding round.

Valkyrie applied for a bitcoin ETF in April, but the SEC’s decision on the fund was delayed until August.
