In Q2, the percentage of ETH aged 1 week to 1 month (1w-1m) dropped over 8% of total circulation, and the percentage of ETH aged 3 to 6 months (3m-6m) increased by about 14%. Overall, the share of ETH with coins older than 3 months is expanding.
PAData July 1 – According to glassnode, the structure of ETH holdings continued to adjust in the second quarter. Among the notable changes are ETHs with coin ages of 1 week to 1 month (1w-1m) and 3 to 6 months (3m-6m), with the former’s share decreasing by about 8.74%, while the latter’s share increased by about 13.99%. The proportion of ETHs in the remaining coin age brackets varied slightly below 3%. From the overall trend, the percentage of ETHs with coin age over 3 months is expanding, and more and more ETHs are growing in age. This may mean that ETH holders are more inclined not to trade during the recent consolidation period.
It is worth noting that on June 17, the percentage of ETH with coin ages of 1 to 3 months (1m-3m) dropped by about 7.91% compared to the previous day, while the percentage of ETH with coin ages of 3 to 6 months (3m-6m) increased by about 8.01% compared to the previous day. The same sudden change in the percentage also happened on April 18, with about 8% of ETH coins just over 1 month old on April 18. From the progressiveness of time and the similarity of the quantity change, it can be inferred that about 8% of ETH or about 9.3 million ETH are being accumulated.
