KPMG Canada adds Bitcoin and Ethereum to its corporate assets

Canada’s KPMG added bitcoin and ethereum to its corporate balance sheet, the firm’s first direct investment in crypto assets, it was reported on February 8. Benjie Thomas, managing partner of KPMG Canada Advisory Services Canada, said that crypto assets are a mature asset class, and investors such as hedge funds and family offices of large insurance companies and pension funds are increasingly exposed to crypto assets, banks, Traditional financial services such as financial advisors and brokerage firms are exploring offering products and services involving cryptoassets. This investment reflects our belief that the adoption of institutional cryptoassets and blockchain technology will continue to grow and become a regular part of the portfolio.
