SEC again delays decision on Bitwise Bitcoin ETF filing

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has once again delayed its application for a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund against Bitwise Asset Management, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to the previous application information, the ETF will be listed on the Arca exchange once it is approved by the SEC. It is reported that the SEC pointed out that Bitwise Asset Management is required to submit information on expected trading volumes, fraud and manipulation prevention, and other matters. Bitwise and NYSE Arca filed an ETF application in October 2021 with proposed rule changes, the SEC delayed a decision on the application in December 2021 and expected a decision by February 1, but now this approval postponed again. According to Jake Chervinsky, the blockchain association, the next time the SEC will issue an approval is August 14, 2022, but they can still delay the decision until the October 13 “deadline.”
