South Korea’s Naver Z launches $100 million fund for Metaverse creators

Naver Z, a subsidiary of South Korean internet conglomerate Naver Group, has launched a $100 million creator fund for its Metaverse project, Golden Finance reported. Naver Z is the platform behind the 3D creator app Zepeto, which allows users to turn their selfies into 3D avatars. Zepeto plans to use the fund to expand its Metaverse products to multiple devices, including cell phones, PCs and virtual reality. Launched four years ago, Zepeto offers entertainment, gaming and social networking experiences. In addition to helping users turn their selfies into 3D avatars, it also allows users to create digital spaces that they can interact with. (financial graffiti)
