Pantera Capital raises $600 million in funding for new cryptocurrency fund

Pantera Capital, a cryptocurrency investment company, has raised $600 million for its fourth fund, of which about 75% of the funds come from institutional investors, such as endowment funds. Institutional support is a change from the company’s 2018 $175 million fund, which is mainly funded by wealthy cryptocurrency investors. Pantera predicts that the fund will reach $1 billion when it closes in March. The fund will invest in venture equity, already launched crypto tokens and tokens under development. In September, Pantera raised $369 million for its newly established blockchain fund at the time. As of August, the company’s assets under management reached US$4.7 billion. (Coindesk)
