a16z Announces Five New Hires to Provide Crypto-Native Data Science and Research Services

Silicon Valley venture capital firm a16z this week announced five new hires designed to help the firm provide regulatory responsiveness and crypto-native data science and research services to potential portfolios, according to The block. They are: Bill Hinman, former head of the SEC’s Division of Corporate Finance who has joined a16z as an advisor; Tomicah Tillemann, a former advisor to President Joe Biden who served as a speechwriter for Hillary Clinton during her tenure as secretary of state and now serves as a16z’s director of global policy. Brent McIntosh, who served as Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs and has joined a16z as an advisor; Rachael Horwitz, who has held marketing and communications roles at Twitter, Google, Facebook and Coinbase, and was Coinbase’s first Vice President of Communications, has joined a16z to head marketing and communications; Alex Price, co-founder of trading firm Qu Capital, has joined a16z as an advisor.
