Bloomberg: Crypto Companies Compete for Top Talent Through Hundreds of Job Openings
Booming cryptocurrency companies say they are struggling to find the right people to fill hundreds of positions as a frenzy over digital currencies and other assets allows them to compete with some of the world’s largest financial institutions, according to Bloomberg News. For potential candidates, interest in crypto jobs has increased about five to 10 times in the past nine months, said Neil Dundon, founder of recruiter Crypto Recruit. A single job posting can attract hundreds of applicants, he said. The current skills shortage is so severe that companies are casting their nets.
Another Gemini head of Asia Pacific, Jeremy Ng, said Gemini is considering expanding to markets such as Hong Kong, China, and Australia in the next 12 months, and offering new hires benefits including unlimited vacation and profit-sharing plans to attract global talent.
