The first smart contract for Cardano’s test network Alonzo has been successfully run

According to U.today, the first smart contract on Cardano’s public test network, Alonzo, has successfully run, according to a development update dated June 11. The development team is currently in the Alonzo Blue phase. The focus is on developing a command line interface (CLI) for writing “Hello World” style smart contracts. Once partners and pioneers are able to create basic scripts, Cardano will be ready to transition to “Alonzo White”. According to IOHK delivery and project lead Nigel Hemsley, they must successfully demonstrate that they can “submit, validate and execute on-chain tasks”. During this phase, all Plutus components will be introduced, including the application backend.
