Stablecoin issuer Tether ordered by judge to provide financial records related to backing USDT

News on September 21st, as part of the case of the New York Attorney General’s Office suing Tether for issuing USDT as a campaign to raise the price of Bitcoin, stablecoin issuer Tether has been asked by a US judge to provide financial records related to USDT, including “general ledger, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Profit and Loss Statement”, as well as Tether’s records of transactions or transfers of other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins, including transaction information about the time, the judge also asked Tether to share its holdings in Bitfinex, Poloniex and Bittrex.
