Cryptocurrency lending platform Voyager Digital announced on Friday that it has received court approval to restore the use of cash held for customers at Metropolitan Commercial Bank. Access to the Voyager app for cash withdrawals is expected to resume from Aug. 11. Customers with cash (USD) in the account will receive an email with more details before the withdrawal is available, and customers are expected to receive their funds approximately 5-10 business days after making the request. Voyager filed for bankruptcy protection in July, the first step in the company’s first move to return up to $270 million in fiat currency to customers. The company also said in a blog post that it is pursuing a separate restructuring process in an effort to maximize the value of cryptocurrencies on the platform.
