It’s official, the Dfinity Foundation has officially launched a $220 million (CHF 200 million) developer incentive program to inspire and support entrepreneurs and developers of Internet computing. In addition, the Beacon Fund, a venture capital fund, is investing in the startup ecosystem built on Internet computers and will continue to support entrepreneurs building large-scale software and open Internet services on Internet computers. Already, entrepreneurs and development teams are developing applications on Dfinity, including OpenChat, a decentralized encrypted communications app; DSCVR, a tokenized open version of Reddit; Fleek, an open Internet application hosting startup; and Capsule, a decentralized social media platform. Capsule has raised $1.5 million in seed funding with the support of Beacon Fund.
